Carin Roitfeld

style files

To our surprise, one of the most influential editors in the fashion business Carine Roitfeld has announced that she will leave French Vogue at the end of January. "It's 10 years that I'm editor of the magazine", says Roitfeld. And she added: "I think it's time to do something different".

The chief executive of Conde Nast International Jonathan Newhouse says about her: "Carine herself has become widely known as a beacon of style, fulfilling the role with charm and graciousness. She has become a giant in her profession. Carine will be deeply missed". In turn, Conde Nast France president Xavier Romatet says: "Of course, I regret Carine's decision, even if I understand it. One page turns and a new step begins for this solid and powerful brand that is sure of its values".

The French editor has explained that her departure has nothing to do with Jonathan Newhouse. Roitfeld has also said that she does not know yet what she will do and she has no plans.
